AhsayUBS Firmware Upgrade

Please use the upgrade option if AhsayUBS is previously installed on the machine, and to preserve existing configuration and data.

Pre-Requisites

  • You have enabled AhsayCBS AutoSave at least one full day prior to performing upgrade; or, you may make an offsite copy of the AhsayCBS "conf" folder, "system/obs/policies" folders.
  • You have exported your AhsayUBS Web Console settings, please refer to Backup System Configuration on how to do this.
Upgrade to AhsayUBS 9 cannot downgrade or rollback to earlier AhsayUBS v6, v7, or v8 versions. As a precaution, you may want to take a snapshot if your VM environment allows.
Steps to Upgrade AhsayUBS Firmware

  1. After booting, the main menu will appear on the screen. Select option 2 to start upgrading AhsayUBS.

    If there are no embedded systems found inside the machine, please use the option "Install Firmware" instead of "Upgrade Firmware". For the detailed steps to install, please refer to Installing AhsayUBS Firmware (New Installation).

  2. In the following screen, select the system UID by pressing the Space bar. An asterisk " * " will appear within the "( )" field of the chosen System UID. Choose OK to continue.

  3. When the following message is shown, choose Yes to start the upgrade or No to abort.

  4. Wait until the upgrade is completed.

  5. The message "Successfully upgraded the Embedded System" is shown when the upgrade is completed successfully. Please choose OK to go back to the main menu.

  6. Refer to Post-Installation to complete the upgrade process.
